Benissa a small town of 10,000 inhabitants (as of 2004), located 12 Km from Calpe and 71 Km from Alicante , situated at 274 m from the sea level, denominated el mirador de la Marina (the view of the Marina).

Benissa stands between 400 and 800 meters in an mountainous amphitheater, where there are Las sierras de Olta , Bèrnia, Lloma Llarga, la Solana and el Castellar.
